Tourism and Service Industry
Bachelor of Vocation Tourism & Service Industry focuses on the overall development of the students with the options of two exits at various levels in the courses so that he is free to join the industry at any point in time during the courses. Tourism management is a multidisciplinary field that includes all activities related to the tourism and hospitality industries. It prepares candidates with the experience and training required to hold managerial positions in the food, accommodation and tourism industries.
Programme Objectives
The Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc) course in the tourist and Service Industry was created to give students specialised training and hands-on experience in the tourist and hospitality industries. It aims to give students the abilities and information needed to succeed in this field.

- To help students acquire the interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills necessary to succeed in tourism and hospitality.
- To teach students about the fundamentals of hospitality management, including marketing, operations management, and customer service.
- Through internships, field excursions, and industry partnerships, give students hands-on training and exposure in the travel and hospitality sectors.
- To empower students with the knowledge and abilities needed to manage and run a variety of hospitality and tourism-related enterprises, such as hotels, resorts, restaurants, and travel agencies.
Course Duration
The B.Voc Tourism and Service Industry Programme is for three years at Kalinga University.
Eligibility
The minimal requirements for admission to a B.Voc programme are 10+2 (in any stream) or an equivalent qualification, a two-year ITI diploma after class 10, or a three-year polytechnic diploma after class 10th.

Eligibility
The minimum eligibility for admission in B.Voc is 10+2 (in any stream) or equivalent or a two-year ITI Diploma after Class 10th or a three-year Polytechnic Diploma after Class 10th.
About Fees Structure
Selected candidates will have to deposit the fee within ten working days after the declaration of the Successful candidate’s list. Students can pay the fee by any mode – Online/ Cheque/Draft.

Discipline
The students of the programme will be governed by the University rules in regard to minimum attendance and evaluation for the award of a Degree Certificate.
